Question: Octopus tattoo with lotus flowers tattoo?

I have an octopus tattoo thats in progress on my ribs and i really want to add some flowers, but can't decide what. I was thinking about lotuses, but thought it might be weird since octopuses live in the ocean and lotuses are pond flowers. Would that be dumb, or should I get a seaside flower? (I don't want any deep- sea plants, like coral or anenome etc. They wouldn't go with the shape of my octopus. I want something round and graceful.)

I think you should get any flower you want. Doesn't matter if it's not found in nature that way. Tattoos are art and should be individual choice. I have 4 customs tats and none are like anything you would find on the wall of any tattoo shop! Make it mean something. 3 of my 4 are/ have flowers because they have special meanings.

I think a lotus would be cool. if you put the octopus kind of on the lotus with its tenticals wrapped around and what not. it shouldnt matter that they are from different bodies of water. sounds awesome. you can always go with just octopus with bubbles or something if you cant figure out what flowers you want.. bubbles are round and graceful. yup..
